Baby Cupcakes...

Dawen's comment about cupcakes reminded me of the delicious cupcakes we made for a church event- Chinese New Year a few years ago... they were chocolate flavoured. We knew they were a success because we saw a kid devour about 5 of them without taking a breath.

Anyhoo, it got us thinking about starting our own baby cupcake business.... but we've just been too busy to start it up, so I've found an alternative, it's called "The Cupcake Factory".

Things we've bought...

We went shopping at Toys R Us during their recent Baby Sale and bought some items:

I wish I could reformat this post! We bought some more little items but I haven't taken photos yet. I'm ashamed to say I like Fisher Price stuff, I think it's the bright colours....

For toys, the Toys R Us brand "Bruin" is really good value... cheap and cute toys.

Bought some clothes from internet site "Bright Pineapple", they are having a summer sale! Clothes are cheaper than Target clothes at the moment, all organic cotton (don't know if this makes any difference to anything) and all fair trade (this is a bonus!). Anyway, bought 1 blue striped jumpsuit, 1 neutral jumpsuit, 1 pink short sleeve babysuit and 1 blue dress with bloomers set.

Gosh, I would never have cottoned on to the Heaven being spelt backwards is Nevaeh? How do you pronouce that?

I read about a little girl called Plum today, Plum it's so cute! Maybe not so cute when she is trying to find a job or when plums are on special at Woolies.

Baby Bodysuits?

Why do babies wear bodysuits? Are they PJs? I don't get it? Do they need to wear pants over the body suit? I am so clueless!

Also I have discovered that girls clothing are slightly more expensive than boys clothing!

The 18-19 week ultrasound

I went for the 18-19 week ultrasound today, thank God everything seems to be normal at this stage! I also found out that we are expecting a GIRL! I didn't buy the DVD of the ultrasound scan but I did get a lovely free Bounty bag (show bag), it's full of samples and magazines (I can't resist baby sized baby samples).

Afterwards, Will's mum and I had some yummy yum cha, visited Target and Toys R Us before making a pitt stop at Roy Young Chemist.

All the baby clothes I saw today looked like summer clothing, is there such a thing as winter clothing for babies (seeing as the baby is due in July)?

Now it's time for some serious shopping!
